ENERGIA 2008

Congratulation to TRICENTRIS for the ENERGIA award received on November 13, 2008 from the Association québécoise pour la maîtrise de l'énergie (AQME) in the "SUSTAINABLE AND GREEN BUILDING" category.  This is for their new sorting facility in Terrebonne which is registered for a LEED certification (gold).

Construction PREMIERE is proud of this succesful Design-Build achievement.

AWARD OF MERIT / CISC-QUEBEC

Last November, PREMIERE received the Award of Merit from the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC-Quebec) for the design and construction of CGC's new 109,000 square feet Rock Shed at their Montreal's plant.

INNOVATION

In 2007, PREMIERE was selected by TRICENTRIS to design and build their new Sorting Facility in Terrebonne which is in the process of a LEED certification.

Glass recycling do not have much openings.  PREMIERE has developed a new way to re-use glass by substituting aggregates with glass fragments in the concrete mix used for a new floor slab-on-grade.

Despite very high level of uncertainties, the 2,500 square feet floor was poured without problem and the results are successful.

Since this innovative way to build had many technological challenges, PREMIERE has retained the services of LAFARGE and made the UNIVERSITY OF SHERBROOKE a partner in the project.
